Good to know / FAQ
Questions, answered.
A clear plan starts with clear information. Here is what to know about discovering events, joining in, paying, organizing, and managing your Vyroo account.
What is Vyroo?
Vyroo helps people discover, coordinate, and attend events around them, while giving organizers the tools to publish and run better experiences.
Can I browse events without an account?
Yes. Public events can be discovered and understood without signing in. You only need the app and an account when you are ready to RSVP or coordinate.
Can organizers sell tickets?
Organizers can publish paid events and use server-verified Paystack payments. Vyroo keeps payment, capacity, and entry-pass decisions authoritative on the platform.
Do I need an account to browse events?
No. Public event details can be explored without an account. An account is needed when you want to RSVP, join a waitlist, coordinate with your crew, or receive event updates.
How does a paid RSVP work?
A payment starts with the provider and is confirmed on Vyroo’s server before a paid RSVP or valid entry pass is issued. If verification fails, the event status does not change based only on a checkout screen.
Can I delete my Vyroo account?
Yes. Request deletion through the supported account flow or by contacting privacy@vyroo.app. Active sessions are revoked while the request is processed, subject to lawful retention, payment reconciliation, safety, and legal-hold exceptions.
How do organizers get started?
Join the organizer program through the app or contact the Vyroo team. Organizer access is designed for publishing clear event pages, managing attendance, coordinating staff, and keeping guests updated.
What is Organizer Pro?
Organizer Pro is for recurring organizers who need event intelligence, finance reconciliation, templates, scoped staff operations, and a clearer organizer workspace. Basic event participation and publishing are not paywalled.
What is Boost?
Boost is a separate promotional purchase for an eligible event. It can increase distribution within Vyroo for the stated window, but it does not guarantee views, RSVPs, ticket sales, revenue, attendance, or ranking.
What does provider-held or pending money mean?
A payment may be confirmed, pending, refunded, reversed, provider-held, or settled. Vyroo keeps those states separate; provider-held or pending amounts are not described as money payable to an organizer until the applicable settlement process confirms it.
When does a Pro purchase become active?
The store confirms the purchase, RevenueCat sends its webhook, Django reconciles the entitlement, and the app refreshes its server-backed state. A short pending state is expected while those systems agree.
