Legal / Terms
Clear expectations make better experiences.
Last updated: 27 August 2026
These Terms of Use govern access to Vyroo, a discovery, event, community, and organizer-operations platform operated by Sinaps Technology ("Vyroo", "we", "us", or "our"). They apply to the website, mobile app, APIs, public event pages, organizer tools, event staff tools, and related services. By using Vyroo, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
If you use Vyroo for an organisation, venue, or event, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to the parts of these Terms that apply to it. Mandatory consumer, privacy, and other rights are not waived by these Terms.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to enter these Terms and provide accurate information where needed for identity, safety, payments, or event operations. Vyroo may use phone or Google authentication providers to verify a sign-in proof; the Vyroo account, permissions, sessions, and event records remain governed by Vyroo. Keep your device and access credentials secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless the law says otherwise.
2. What Vyroo provides
Vyroo helps people discover public events, understand event details, RSVP or join a waitlist, receive updates, coordinate with their crew, and access event entry workflows. Organizers may publish events, manage capacity, verify Paystack payments, issue or invalidate entry passes, communicate with attendees, assign check-in staff, and use paid organizer features where enabled. Features, availability, limits, and eligibility can vary by location, account, event, provider, and product stage.
3. Public discovery and event information
Public event pages may be viewed, indexed, linked, and copied by people outside Vyroo. An organizer—not Vyroo—is responsible for event accuracy, venue permission, licensing, safety planning, accessibility, age restrictions, capacity, staff, performers, promised benefits, lawful content, and attendee communications. Vyroo may correct, limit, unpublish, or remove an event where it is inaccurate, unsafe, fraudulent, unlawful, or inconsistent with these Terms.
4. RSVPs, waitlists, passes, and check-in
An RSVP is not a guarantee of entry unless the event flow says it is confirmed. Capacity, waitlist order, event status, organizer rules, payment status, and server verification control. A pass is personal to the account and event for which it was issued. It may be refused or invalidated if payment is reversed, the event is cancelled, the pass is duplicated or transferred improperly, the attendee is not eligible, or misuse or fraud is detected. Event staff may scan or verify a pass only for an event to which they have active permission.
5. Payments, subscriptions, and refunds
A paid event or Organizer Pro purchase may be processed by a third-party provider such as Paystack or an in-app purchase provider reconciled through RevenueCat. Vyroo does not store your full card credentials. A payment is confirmed only after provider and server verification; a browser or app success screen alone does not complete the purchase. Prices, taxes, fees, currency, availability, renewal terms, and refund eligibility are shown in the applicable checkout or store flow.
Event cancellation, provider reversal, duplicate payment, reconciliation, chargeback, or a valid refund request may cause a pass to be revoked and a refund to be initiated. Provider and bank processing times are outside Vyroo’s control. See our payments and refunds guidance. Do not use another person’s payment method or bypass provider verification.
6. Organizer and staff obligations
Organizers must have the right to publish the event and collect any attendee information they request. They must honour published terms, handle venue and attendee safety, comply with applicable consumer, tax, privacy, employment, licensing, and anti-fraud requirements, and respond to material event changes. Organizers may grant event-scoped check-in access only to trusted staff and must revoke it when no longer needed. Vyroo may suspend organizer tools, hold settlement, or require information when risk, compliance, or attendee protection warrants it.
7. Content and permissions
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Vyroo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, transform for technical delivery, display, distribute to the audience you select, and use that content to operate, secure, improve, and promote the service for as long as needed for those purposes. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies required by law, security, backups, disputes, or content already shared or incorporated into a public record.
You must own or have permission for every name, image, video, logo, venue detail, person’s likeness, music, message, and other material you submit. Do not expose private information, upload unlawful or harmful material, infringe rights, or imply that Vyroo endorses a person, venue, organiser, or claim.
8. Prohibited conduct
- impersonating someone, creating deceptive accounts, or misrepresenting an event or payment;
- accessing another account, private event, staff tool, pass, API, or system without permission;
- scraping, probing, reverse engineering, rate-limit evasion, malware distribution, or service interference;
- selling, duplicating, transferring, or manipulating entry passes or payment references;
- harassing, threatening, exploiting, discriminating against, or endangering another person;
- uploading illegal, infringing, deceptive, sexually exploitative, hateful, or privacy-invasive content; or
- using Vyroo for an unlawful purpose or in a way that creates material risk to users, providers, or the public.
9. Moderation, suspension, and safety
We may investigate reports, restrict visibility, remove content, cancel or limit access, suspend an account, revoke a pass, or preserve evidence where we reasonably believe there is a breach, fraud, safety threat, provider issue, legal obligation, or risk to the service. We may act without advance notice when necessary to protect people or systems. Where appropriate, we will explain the decision and consider an appeal sent to support@vyroo.app.
Vyroo is not an emergency service. Contact local emergency services for immediate danger. We do not guarantee the safety, identity, conduct, quality, legality, or fulfilment of an event, organizer, attendee, venue, provider, or user content.
10. Third-party services and links
Maps, authentication, payments, app stores, hosting, social sharing, and other integrations may have their own terms and privacy notices. We are not responsible for third-party outages, decisions, content, charges, or processing outside our control. Review the applicable provider terms before using that service.
11. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Vyroo useful and reliable but do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, available in every place, compatible with every device, or that an event will proceed as planned. We may modify, pause, replace, or discontinue features, limits, events, or integrations. We may update these Terms when the service or law changes. Continued use after the effective date means the updated Terms apply, subject to any notice required by law.
12. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vyroo is provided on an “as available” basis and we exclude warranties not expressly stated in these Terms. We are not liable for an organizer’s or attendee’s conduct, event cancellation, venue conditions, payment-provider delay, network failure, device failure, content loss, or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or applicable consumer and privacy rights.
13. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify Vyroo and its people against claims, losses, costs, and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your event or content, your unlawful conduct, or your failure to obtain a required permission. This does not require you to indemnify us for our own unlawful conduct or liability that cannot be shifted.
14. Account closure and survival
You may stop using Vyroo and request account deletion under the Privacy Policy. We may close or restrict access under these Terms. Closure does not automatically cancel a payment obligation, erase a lawful financial record, undo a refund or chargeback, remove public copies held by others, or end provisions that by nature should survive, including content permissions, payment, disputes, liability, indemnity, and governing-law provisions.
15. Governing law and contact
These Terms are intended to operate consistently with the laws of Kenya. Any dispute will be handled by a legally competent forum, subject to mandatory consumer, privacy, and other rights that apply to you. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. We may assign these Terms as part of a reorganisation or transfer of the service; you may not transfer your account without our consent.
